Digest = me + a possible glass of wine + reflection the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into future happenings. You're Welcome.

The Light Between Holidays.
It's been one of the most beautiful weeks I can remember.

Thanksgiving felt like a little pocket of grace, the house full of family, candles lit all day, slow moments that reminded me how much life can change in one season.

We had the incredible news my sister Heidi had her successful kidney transplant after waiting more than 5 years. My heart is so full from this experience and we are eternally grateful.

Then Thursday night at the gallery, something shifted. The whole space glowed. Friends and collectors drifted in through the cold, the caviar was flowing, and the atmosphere had that rare feeling of ease and magic you can't really plan for. It was the best kind of reminder: everything I've been building is beginning to take shape.
There's a quiet momentum forming and I'm following it.

I've been painting, letting myself land in the softest parts of winter. This week I finished a small series called Christmas Morning, Newport, pieces inspired by the pale horizon light I grew up with, the quiet just before the day unfolds, the feeling of looking out at the island wrapped in stillness. They're small, intimate works, and they already feel like tiny heirlooms to me.
You can see them here

And there's something else I've been working on quietly a winter moment I'll share with you later this week.
Just know it's special. And it's coming soon.
For now, I'm wishing you a soft landing into December. A slow morning. A clear sky. A little time for whatever restores you.
Thank you for being here, for reading, for collecting, for supporting my work, this community means more to me than you know.

Happy weekend from our family to yours!
XO Kristen
If you're enjoying these Sunday notes, I'd love for you to share them. Forward this to a friend who might like to follow along. The best part of this community is how it grows organically, through people who genuinely connect with the work.

The Christmas Morning paintings do feel like tiny heirlooms. Beautiful suite/series.
