This Way and That moves gently across the surface, a series of sweeping gestures that feel both intuitive and intentional. Color carries the composition, cool blues and aquas layered with deeper indigo, each mark guiding the next without force.
There is no fixed horizon, no single point of focus. Instead, the painting follows a rhythm of motion, drifting, redirecting, finding balance in the in-between. It suggests water, sky, or something more internal — a sense of moving through rather than arriving. Lighter passages create space for the eye to rest, while deeper strokes anchor the composition, giving it both lift and structure.
