Commission a Painting

A commission is one of the most personal things you can give, or give yourself. It is also, in my experience, one of the most enjoyable creative collaborations there is.
Here is how it works.
We begin with a conversation about size, about the style of work you're drawn to, and any color direction you have in mind. I love when clients send photos of their space, not just where the painting will eventually live, but the whole room, the surrounding areas, the way the light falls. That context is usually all the inspiration I need to get started.
From there, I get to work. Some paintings arrive quickly, others take their time, but once the work is in a place where the direction is clear, I share it with you. This is the moment to weigh in: to pull back a color that isn't quite right, or to ask for more layering. (The answer to that last question is almost always: more, more, more.)

After a few exchanges, some emails, perhaps a call, more time in the studio, I'll send you what I feel is the finished work. Once you give your final approval, I handle any last touches, arrange delivery, and bring the painting directly to your home.
The full circle moment, when I receive a photograph of the work exactly where we imagined it, never gets old. It feels like magic every single time.
Commissions start at $4,000. A 50% deposit is required to begin, with the balance due upon completion.
