Excellent sculptural pair of vintage brass candlesticks, each centered with a different seashell motif: one a spiraling nautilus, the other an elongated shell.
I love objects that bring the sea into a room without feeling overtly nautical. These have that quality. The warm aged brass and slightly eccentric shell forms feel more like something discovered in an old seaside house than traditional coastal décor.
They are especially beautiful with unexpected taper colors, I like them here with deep blue, but would be equally good with coral, ivory, or pink. Place them on a dinner table, mantel, or tucked among books and artwork where the patina and small sculptural details can be appreciated.
Selected for Italo Disco because the Italian coast isn't only sunshine and saturated color. It's also old brass, shells collected from the sea, long dinners, and candles burning after dark.
