A beautifully aged reproduction deck of traditional Italian tarot cards, complete with its original illustrated box.
I am always drawn to small objects that feel as though they might have been discovered in a drawer of an old Italian house. The softly faded colors, and wonderfully elaborate illustrations give this deck exactly that feeling.
Although a later reproduction of historic Italian tarot imagery rather than an antique deck, time will give it a lovely patina of its own. I would leave the cards scattered on a coffee table, tucked beside books, or occasionally pull one simply to see what the day has in store.
Selected for Italo Disco as one of those small things brought home from somewhere else that adds a little mystery, history, and beauty to everyday life.
