Sold as a trio of vintage alabaster fruits and vegetables, carved from stone in wonderfully soft shades of lemon, pistachio, blush, cream, amber, and green.
These were once a familiar decorative object in Italian homes, and I love them even more now for their slightly surreal quality. Each piece has its own variations in color, veining, shape, and patina, the natural stone making even the humblest lemon or pear feel like a tiny sculpture.
I like them gathered in a bowl on a kitchen island, scattered across a table, tucked onto a bookshelf, or mixed among real fruit just to make things slightly strange.
Each set includes three individually selected pieces, chosen to make a beautiful little composition together. No two sets will be exactly alike.
