This one began with a single horizontal line as my horizon pieces do with just the instinct to divide sky from water. From there, I let the blues build slowly, layering tone over tone until it felt expansive but quiet. My horizon studies have always felt honest to me. They don’t perform. They hold.
I’ve always imagined it in a place where you want to exhale, the small wall of a hallway, a nursery, in a guest room, or somewhere that catches early light.
