Wallflowers Orange captures the fleeting gesture of flowers just beginning to open. Bright coral-orange marks bloom across a field of cool blue-grey, layered with sweeping white brushstrokes that move through the composition like wind.
The painting sits between abstraction and observation, floral forms suggested rather than defined. Each mark carries the energy of the brush that made it, creating a rhythm of movement and softness across the canvas.
Like many of my floral works, the painting reflects a quiet fascination with how flowers exist in space, drifting, unfolding, and dissolving back into color.
