Description
A sculptural handmade ceramic tray with an organic, undulating edge that reminds me of a flower opening in bloom. The layered glaze creates beautiful variation across the surface, shifting from warm earth tones to soft neutrals that highlight every curve.
I originally purchased this piece while sourcing for a client project. Although we ultimately selected another object that served a similar purpose, I could never bring myself to part with this one. It has the presence of sculpture while remaining wonderfully functional.
This is the kind of piece that transforms a deep mantel, hall table, kitchen island, or dining table. Its beauty is experienced both from above and from the side, where the movement of the rim becomes fully visible. I especially love it displayed at a slightly elevated height where the silhouette can be appreciated from across the room.
A true statement object that feels equally at home in a collected coastal interior, a modern traditional home, or layered into a more contemporary space. It is one of those rare pieces that quietly anchors a room without asking for attention.
