Description
St. Barths Beach painting was inspired by the quiet palette of the island in winter, when the light softens and the colors of sea and sky dissolve into one another. Layers of pale blues, lavender, and warm whites drift across the surface like reflections moving gently across the water.
Rather than depicting a specific coastline, the painting captures the atmosphere of a place, the stillness of an early morning walk, the rhythm of gentle waves, and the subtle shifts in Caribbean light that make the island feel both luminous and calm.
Loose gestures and softened edges allow the work to exist somewhere between landscape and abstraction. It is a painting about memory as much as place, inviting the viewer to experience the feeling of standing quietly at the water's edge.
Though modest in scale, it carries the quiet presence that often defines my smallest works, offering a moment of calm wherever it hangs.
