Confetti Whispers In The Trees explores the relationship between color, repetition, and the quiet movement of nature. Layers of deep green, cobalt, soft aqua, lavender, and pink move beneath hundreds of small painted marks, creating a composition that feels both expansive and intimate.
There is something about the way light filters through trees that has always fascinated me. Colors appear and disappear, shadows interrupt the landscape, and the smallest movements can completely change what we see. This painting captures that sensation without attempting to represent a particular place.
Broad, expressive gestures establish the foundation, while smaller passages of color build rhythm and depth across the surface. Fine white drips introduce another layer of movement, allowing the composition to feel almost suspended between stillness and activity.
Part of my ongoing Confetti series, this painting continues my exploration of how color theory, gesture, and repetition can transform a canvas into an atmosphere.
Completed in October 2026, Confetti Whispers In The Trees is a new work from my studio, one that feels particularly connected to the changing light and colors of the season.
