Vintage Haeger Footed Ceramic Vase
6.5"H x 5.25"W
Artist Signature: Haeger, USA
A sculptural footed ceramic vase finished in a rich plum glaze with beautiful tonal variation throughout the surface. The fluted form feels both classical and modern, creating a silhouette that stands beautifully on its own even when empty.
What I love most about this piece is its versatility. It works equally well holding small branches or flowers, but I am just as likely to style it as a standalone object on a bookshelf, mantel, or console table.
The deep aubergine glaze catches the light beautifully and adds warmth and depth to a room without overwhelming it. One of those pieces that quietly elevates everything around it.
Forgotten Island is a project dedicated to sourcing objects of character and bringing them back into the spotlight for a second chance at becoming someone's most treasured possession.
I am drawn to pieces that have lived a life before arriving here—objects with beauty, history, and presence that deserve to continue their story in a new home.
This piece was made by Haeger Potteries, an American ceramics company founded in 1851 along the banks of the Fox River in Illinois. For nearly 145 years, Haeger produced distinctive pottery that became a staple of American homes before closing in 2016. Today, their work has become increasingly collectible, particularly the more sculptural and richly glazed forms.
These are exactly the types of pieces I find difficult to part with and would happily keep in my own home.
