This series was started while painting at home with my boyfriend Michael and our puppy Sofia during the early days of the Covid-19 lockdown. I thought it was maddening to be home, but somewhere down the line there was a silver lining of romance in there. I love the layers in the piece. A reminder there is time to do more and be present. Especially when you really learn what, or rather whom, is most important to you when it really matters.
