La Petite Plage draws from the vibrant architecture and sun-washed facades that define the streets and waterfront of St. Barths. Blocks of turquoise and deep blue sit layered across the surface like glimpses of buildings, shadows, and narrow passages opening toward the sea.
The composition reflects the geometry of the island’s small beachside restaurants and terraces, where color, sunlight, and ocean air meet in simple but striking ways.
Rather than describing a literal scene, the painting holds the feeling of the place, bright walls, shifting shadows, and the unmistakable glow of Caribbean light even in the quiet winter season.
