Marina Piccola (Ciro) captures the vibrant edge of Capri where the sea, sun, and color collide. Bright striped umbrellas line the water’s edge while swimmers drift through the turquoise cove below the cliffs of the island.
The composition feels both spontaneous and carefully composed, the umbrellas forming bursts of color against the deep blue of the Mediterranean. It’s a moment that feels unmistakably Italian: leisurely, social, and full of summer light, my absolute favorite kind of day.
Featured in the CIAO CAPRI installation, the photograph celebrates the timeless ritual of gathering by the water, where landscape, design and everyday life merge into a scene that feels both iconic and fleeting just like the best days of summer.
