This series is inspired by one of my favorite places, the Amalfi Coast. The vivid colors, textures of old and new and constant movement of the Italian Riviera are a delight for all of the senses and when I'm not thinking about painting and just paint, these seem to come right out of me. It used to be that way with my confetti series, but now it is these little gems that organically come together from that place a painter only knows after the paint has dried.
