The Grand Tour moves with confidence. Deep indigo gestures sweep across an open, minty ground, interrupted by saturated teal forms that feel both botanical and graphic. The composition doesn’t settle, it travels.
This painting came together quickly, in large decisive strokes. There’s very little hesitation in it. The negative space remains visible, allowing the darker passages to feel intentional rather than heavy.
Within the Current Collection, this work represents expansion, a willingness to let movement lead structure. It’s less about containment and more about momentum.
At 48 by 36 inches, it has the presence to command a room without closing it in. It works especially well where scale and restraint meet, above a console, in a stair hall, or anchoring a space that benefits from both contrast and breath.
