It's truly summertime here in Newport with a little of this, a little of that, and a whole lot of happy art, sweet dinners, lazy beach days, and even some painting. I'll be fine once I get here, one of my most popular paintings in my Series of Unusual Colors (and now on a hat too!), was inspired by that feeling that washes over you as you walk into your vacation home or hotel room, a real sense that anything is possible, mixed with a magical blend of relaxation and excitement. It's no secret I'm wildly in love with travel, but perhaps less known is how much I love planning trips almost as much as being on one. I'm filled with that magical feeling that anything really is possible. But one of my greatest joys is sharing stories of my travels through paintings, blog posts, newsletters you're familiar with, and coming this week, digital city guides of some of my favorite places on earth.
